Travel Partner Network (TPN) Business Development Manager – LAC

With 280+ partners in 130 countries worldwide, TPN services a growing element of GBT’s business given its presence in high growth and emerging markets.
The Business Development Director is responsible for leading the Travel Partner Network (TPN) for the Latin America market. This person is responsible for developing robust strategies to drive growth and new revenue opportunities in the market. They will lead a team that works closely with Partners to ensure they are delivering expected service and quality to GBT customers.
Drive portfolio P&L by developing and implementing strategies that drive revenue, identifying and supporting new supplier revenue streams, monitoring performance data of the market, managing controllable expenses and addressing P&L risks/opportunities
Partner with Sales team to identify growth opportunities, execute sales/expansion initiatives and new client implementations, supporting Partners on bid strategy and RFP requirements.
Understand the market and competitive landscape (macro economics, GDP, competitors, alternative partners) to better support their partners and to effectively evaluate business opportunities.
Work with key internal teams to ensure market Partners have the appropriate support and training needed to properly service customers. Work with team to assess gaps and develop strategy to improve.
Ensure market Partner’s performance meets/exceeds GBT SLA standards
Clearly articulate the benefits to Partners of the GBT value proposition and in supporting GBT supplier programs (GDS/Air/Hotel/Car/Rail)
Develop strong relationships with Partners, understanding business dynamics and challenges.
Previous experience in Business/Account Development/Management
Deep industry experience in travel operations
Proven ability to identify and deliver new business and/or growth opportunities
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong financial acumen with ability to read/understand financial statements to identify risks and opportunities
Proven negotiation skills with the ability to influence at all levels within an organization
Ability to interface with senior levels of the company, including in-person presentations
Proven track record of driving results
Fluent in English and Spanish required
